Welcome to RockSpeaks.com!

The work of multifaceted artist, Margaret LaBounty reflects the continuum of life and spiritual exploration of time and place. LaBounty’s unique artistry is chameleon-like in its synthesis of exquisite color and raw materials, evocative of serene spaces and the cyclical nature of water, air, earth, fire – the sun, moon and stars.

From the expansive red rock canyons of the Southwest – through the liquid eternal sunshine of the Hawaiian Islands – LaBounty’s creative pathway has essentially come full circle to the snow capped peaks of Colorado. Perhaps best known for hand sculpted, high-fired, clay sculptures, her work is comprised of natural materials indigenous to the earth such as clay, wood, cactus, rock, and warm-tone metals of brass and copper. LaBounty’s extraordinary Totem creations seek to preserve small slices of a fragile ancient culture. As if carved by the wind and water, they tell ancient stories held dear to mankind.
